Reflexology - The Thai way

You may have heard of Reflexology or seen the very complicated looking charts with internal organs drawn all over the feet and hands, thinking, "what's that all about?"

You may have heard of Reflexology or seen the very complicated looking charts with internal organs drawn all over the feet and hands, thinking, "what's that all about?" Well, let me explain...

Reflexology is a type of body treatment that involves applying varying amounts of pressure to specific points on the feet and hands, and sometimes the ears. The theory basis for reflexology is that there are certain "reflex areas" on the feet, hands, and ears that are connected to specific organs and body parts energetically.

The reasoning behind the treatment is that by applying pressure in these areas it can promote the natural healing process of the associated organ or body area. For example, the tips of the toes reflect the head, around the ball of the foot – the heart and chest, the arch of the foot – the liver, pancreas, and kidneys, and the heel – low back and intestines.

You may find a Registered Certified Reflexologist who only performs Reflexology sessions, or like here at the Thai Massage Room & Spa, a massage therapist (That's me!) who is trained in the technique and combines it with their massage sessions.

Many people seek reflexology for stress related conditions, tension headaches, migraines, digestive issues, arthritis, insomnia, hormonal imbalances, menstrual disorders, and chronic pain. When attending a session at the Thai Massage Room & Spa, you will be asked to briefly explain your health history so that I can customise your massage treatments. It is important to be honest when giving me information regarding your health before any treatment is started.

Always make sure that you tell me if there are any points in the treatment that you feel uncomfortable.

Reflexology can be a wonderful first step or addition to a care plan in order to address a range of conditions. So, what are you waiting for? Book your Reflexology or combined Traditional Thai Massage and Reflexolgy session at The Thai Massage Room & Spa now!

Noi is not only a truly wonderful lady, but also has a wonderful gift, her massage skills are both theraputic and relaxing. Go and try for yourself, you will feel the benefits and without a doubt return time and again.

I have MS and have been regularly visiting Noi for treatment over 18 months. She is a lovely person and her massage treatments (both traditional Thai & oil) really help me. I would strongly recommend Noi for any condition or just purely for the lovely experience of enjoying a traditional Thai Massage.

The Thai Massage room is so relaxing. Noi is very professional and her experience and love of what she is doing is obvious. I thoroughly enjoyed my first visit to the massage room and will be returning again in the very near future.
